Here you will find information on the Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) Degree; the BIT degree is a joint collaboration between Carleton University and Algonquin College designed to offer you programs centred around both a practical experience and a theoretical background.

Currently we offer two programs Interactive Multimedia & Design (IMD) and Network Technology (NET) both with strong practical and theory based courses

Both programs offer an excellent COOP option available after the 2nd year of study, with a strong and growing reputation

5 out of 10 of the finalists in the local Cisco NetRider's competition are from the BIT Network Technology Program; the competition, open to Cisco Networking Academy Students, is a grueling event that will eventually pit the students with others in North America.

Marie Deslauriers has been selected for 2nd place in highly competitive competition to design a creative logo, set by Carleton's new Provost Peter Ricketts. Well Done Marie!

Interactive Multimedia & Design

Designed for students who are both artistically creative and technically adept. The Interactive Multimedia & Design (IMD) program covers topics in Graphic Design, 2D + 3D Graphics and Animation, Game Design & Development, and Digital Video Compositing
  Network Technology

Network Technology

Aimed at students with an interest in designing network infrastructures and keeping them running, the Network Technology (NET) program will teach you everything you need to know and even train you in CISCO certified courses
         
Admissions

Admission Requirements

Each program has its own admission requirements, especially the IMD program which has a portfolio requirement. The deadline for admission into either program is the March 1st, 2010, and the IMD portfolio is due March 1st, 2010
